Exporting a dog from Vietnam to Armenia starts with Vietnam’s export papers, and that is the part Daisy Pet handled for Mylo, a five-year-old Beagle. His owner arranged the flight and the arrival herself. The full set of documents was ready on Sunday 25 October 2026, two days before the flight.
Mylo’s move to Armenia: the part Daisy Pet handled
Mylo is a male Beagle, born in April 2021, who lived with his owner in Ho Chi Minh City. She booked her own ticket: a 06:30 departure from Tan Son Nhat on Tuesday 27 October, with a connection of about eight and a half hours in Istanbul, landing in Yerevan early the next morning.
The owner hired Daisy Pet for the Vietnam export procedure only. That meant booking the government inspection, getting the export health certificate and arranging the vet certificates. The airline booking and the arrival in Armenia stayed with her.
Documents checked and inspection booked (19–21 October)
Daisy Pet opened a group chat with the owner on Monday 19 October. The first request was simple: send the flight ticket once it is booked. The route on the ticket goes onto the export certificate, including the transit country.
On Wednesday 21 October, the team reviewed photos of Mylo’s vaccination record and the owner’s passport. The same morning, Daisy Pet submitted the file to the government veterinary office to request an inspection slot. By early afternoon the appointment was confirmed:
- Date: Friday 23 October 2026, at 9:30.
- Place: the Southern Regional Animal Health and Production Office (Chi cục Chăn nuôi và Thú y vùng miền Nam), in Tan Son Nhat Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
- What to bring: the owner’s passport, Mylo’s vaccination record and Mylo himself.
A Daisy Pet staff member would meet them at the gate and handle the procedure inside.

Would a rabies vaccine due on 5 November cause problems?
The owner’s first question after the booking was about the rabies vaccine. Mylo’s last rabies shot was given on 5 November 2025, so it was due again on 5 November 2026. She asked whether that date would cause trouble at the airport.
The flight was on 27 October, so the vaccination was still within its year on the day Mylo left Vietnam. Daisy Pet told her she should not meet problems at the airport. If the booster fell due after landing, a vet clinic in the destination city could give it.
The vaccination date, the vaccine name and its batch number were later printed on the export certificate. That is the document the Vietnamese side checks.
The inspection and the Form 13a for Armenia (23 October)
On Thursday afternoon, Daisy Pet told the owner that the appointment had moved from 9:30 to 13:30 on the same day.
On Friday morning, the team sent her the staff member’s contact number and asked her to message on arrival. Before noon, she asked whether the documents would be ready for her flight early on Tuesday. The answer was yes: the set would be ready by Sunday.
She reached the gate at about 13:44. A minute later, the team told her she could leave and would get an update once the procedure was finished. Everything was complete except a few vet documents, which the team would finalise over the next two days.
The office issued Mylo’s Animal Health Certificate for Export (Form 13a, Mẫu 13a) the same day, 23 October. The certificate records:
- Identity: Mylo’s microchip number, species, breed, sex and date of birth.
- Route: Yerevan, Armenia as destination, Turkey as the transit country and Tan Son Nhat International Airport as the exit point.
- Health statement: no clinical sign of contagious disease on the day of shipment.
- Rabies: the vaccination date, vaccine name, batch number and the vaccine’s expiry date.

Fit-to-fly, parasite treatment and handover (25 October)
Early on Sunday 25 October, Daisy Pet confirmed that the export certificate had been received. The two remaining vet documents were issued on 25 October by the partner vet hospital Daisy Pet works with:
- Fit-to-fly certificate: the vet examined Mylo and found him healthy and fit for air travel.
- Parasite treatment certificate: Mylo was treated against internal and external parasites on 25 October.
The team sent the owner a scan of the full set at 14:06 and asked her to collect the originals at the Daisy Pet office between 13:30 and 17:00. She came by that afternoon and collected the originals, two days before the flight.

What Mylo’s case shows about exporting a dog from Vietnam
- Send the ticket first. The destination and the transit country on the export certificate come from the route you book.
- Check the rabies date against the flight date. Mylo’s vaccine was due nine days after departure, and Vietnam still issued the export certificate.
- Keep your passport free for the inspection week. The owner’s passport was at the immigration office that week, and she had to ask whether a photo would do. Raise this when the appointment is booked.
- Allow about a week. Mylo’s file went from document review on 21 October to a complete set on 25 October.
- Plan the onward route early. A later trip to Europe was also in the owner’s plans, so Daisy Pet offered her a list of the documents that leg would need. Each country on a later route has its own requirements, so tell your agent before the first trip.
Mylo’s case covered the Vietnam side only: the inspection booking, Form 13a and the two vet certificates. That is the work covered by our pet travel documentation service in Vietnam.
